Dear Sister,
Best wishes for a holy and
peaceful Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with every grace and blessing. Thanks
for the invitation to speak to the sisters about the Vatican Council. As you
know we are obliged to secrecy. All that I could report would be about
externals. You know more about the rest from the press which (mirabile dictio!)
is not bound to secrecy. I shall have to catch up with my work here before
coming to see you.
The next session (Sept 14)
will take us away again for several months and we must work also to prepare for
next fall. Enclosed is a little check. I have no idea what you need or could
use so you will have to contend with this.
